When it comes to buying your next crock pot. Please take into consideration, programmable crock pots v.s. 3(manual) settings. If you are a person of convenience, then go with programmable you can program it to to a different temperature when you want it to.

The one disadvantage is that, when the programmer break down, your kind of in a bad spot. Sometimes to fix it out weighs the cost of buying a new one. You might have to look and see if that’s the case. I know that sometimes trying to replace the pot itself, is just not worth it, because the ceramic pot itself cost just as much as getting a whole new crock pot. This is especially true in the case of crock pots that have a manual settings.

Also another disadvantage  when your dealing with a crock pot that has manual settings, you don’t have that luxury of walking away as you do when dealing with a programmable one. Especially when it’s time to turn down the setting itself. But the one advantage, you don’t have to worry about the programmer going bad on you. You chose!!!

  2. Hi,
Sorry getting back to you sooo late. But any crock over 6qt less then $25 is worth it. And other best advise I can give you is stick with manual, instead of programmable. Because once the digital panel goes your stuck, especially if you use it a lot. Thank you soooo much for stopping by, please tell e friend, from know one I’ll be post a lot of videos. So please enjoy. Please stop

  3. I am looking for a programmable Crock Pot that has an Auto on feature, or in other words areal clock? Can’t understand why I can’t find one this technological age?

  4. Hi,
Thanks for stopping by CPK!!! Hamilton Beach, or Crock Pot, or Rival. Personally it comes down to preference. But remember if the clock goes out, the the whole crock pot is down. By the time you ship it to get fixed, and the cost involved. You might be better off just buying a new one. I personally stick with manual crock pots.
    Thanks again, for stopping by:)
    Ben from Crock Pot King
